حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْحُذَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَانَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَشْرَبَ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنْ نَأْكُلَ فِيهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَنْ لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ وَالدِّيبَاجِ وَأَنْ نَجْلِسَ عَلَيْهِ.
ریشم بچھانے کا بیان، اور عبیدہ نے کہا کہ وہ پہننے کی طرح ہے
ہم سے علی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے وہب بن جریر نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ان کے والد نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے ابن ابی نجیح سے سنا، انہوں نے مجاہد سے، انہوں نے ابن ابی لیلیٰ سے اور ان سے حذیفہ ؓ نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ہمیں سونے اور چاندی کے برتن میں پینے اور کھانے سے منع فرمایا تھا اور ریشم اور دیباج پہننے اور اس پر بیٹھنے سے منع فرمایا تھا۔
Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA) : The Prophet ﷺ said, "Last night a demon from the Jinns came to me (or the Prophet ﷺ said, a similar sentence) to disturb my prayer, but Allah gave me the power to overcome him. I intended to tie him to one of the pillars of the mosque till the morning so that all of you could see him, but then I remembered the Statement of my brother Solomon:--My Lord! Forgive me and bestow on me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me. (38.35) The narrator added: Then he (the Prophet) dismissed him, rejected. Nor am I one of the pretenders (a person who pretends things which do not exist). (38.86)
